Background and Purpose: Substance abuse due to its progressive nature in all aspects of life threatens the health of the individual, the family and society and is associated with any economic, political and human damage to the community and the first to be affected in this regard. It is a family system. Based on this study, a review of the problems of families with substance use was carried out.
Method: In this review, the Scopus, Medline, SID, PubMed, Google Schoolar, Science Direct databases were used with keywords, problems, substance abuse, addiction, and family to search for articles. Finally, 30 full-text articles were available. Selected and reviewed.
Findings:Studies have shown that drug-related disorders affect the system and family members and cause problems for family members in various dimensions, including psychosocial, economic, physical, family and educational issues.
Conclusion:
Family members are consumers of substances with problems of varying dimensions, identifying these problems can help nurses by developing educational programs for people at risk in the process of preventing the problems of addiction
