<abstract>
As you are aware, current clinical guidelines for diabetes management, such as those developed by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), provide valuable frameworks for glycemic control, pharmacological treatment, and lifestyle modification. However, these guidelines primarily focus on the adult population and devote limited attention to university students living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Evidence suggests that the university environment can substantially influence diabetes self-management. Therefore, there is a growing need for clinical guidelines specifically tailored to this population.
</abstract>
